Titicaca

Titicaca van Holst Garn is een erg zacht en luchtig 2-draads garen gesponnen uit 100% alpacawol. Je kan deze wol zowel met een enkele draad als een dubbele draad breien. Titicaca is heel mooi op zichzelf maar geeft ook een leuk effect als deze samengebreid wordt met een ander garen. (Vb Supersoft of Coast).

Naalddikte: 2.5-3 mm

Naalddikte dubbele draad: 3.5-4 mm

Looplengte: 400 meter per 50 gram

Samenstelling: 100% alpacawol

Steekverhouding: 10 cm = 25 steken

Steekverhouding dubbele draad: 10 cm = 23 steken

Als Titicaca gecombineerd wordt met een ander garen, neem je breinaalden die 0.5 mm groter zijn. Vb. als je Holst Garn Coast met een 3 mm breidt dan gebruik je voor de combinatie Coast + Titicaca 3.5 mm.

Titicaca from Holst Garn is a thin 2-ply 100% alpaca yarn. The yarn can be knit alone in 1 or two trhreads for fine soft shawls or light clothing. It can also be knitted together with another quality of yarn such as Holst Garn Supersoft or Holst Garn Coast. The alpaca will add softness and a light fluffiness to your knitting.

Needle size: 2.5-3 mm

Needle size two threads: 3.5-4 mm/ US 4-6

Lenght: 400 meters/ 437 yards per 50 gram

Fiber: 100% alpaca wool

Gauge one thread: 25 stitches = 10 cm/ 4 inches

Gauge two threads: 23 stitches = 10 cm/ 4 inches

When you use Titicaca with another yarn, 1 tread will add 0.5 size to your knitting needles. If you usually knit for instance Coast at needles 3 mm/ US 3, Coast and Titicaca knit together will fit a size 3.5 mm/ US 4.
