Nora’s skirt

This is an English printed knitting pattern.

Nora’s Skirt is worked top-down. A casing for a wide elastic band is created around the waist. The straps are knit at the end and sewn onto the back on the inside of the waist band. The straps are crossed on the back when wearing and fastened at the front with 2 buttons.

Sizes: 2-3 (3-4) 4-5 (5-6) 6-7 (7-8) years

Length of the skirt: 24 (27) 30 (32) 33 (34) cm

Waist measurement without the elastic: 48 (50) 52 (54) 56 (58) cm (please note that this will be adjusted with the elastic)

Gauge: 26 sts = 10 cm/4 inches in stockinette st

Suggested needles: 3.0 mm (US size 2.5) circular needles, with 40 and 80 or 100 cm (16 and 32 or 40 inches) cable length, 2.5 (US size 1.5) circular needles, with 80 or 100 cm (32 or 40 cm) cable length.

Materials: 150 (150) 150 (200) 200 (200) g of light fingering weight yarn, 2 buttons, 3 cm wide elastic band (approx. 0.5 m), stitch marker, darning needle

Suggested yarn: Esther from Permin (50 g = 230 m/252 yards). Other yarn options: Rauma Garn Finull or Rauma Garn Babygarn or Holst Garn coast.
